So... this guy some crazy long time ago said, " If you want something done then you have to do it yourself,' In that spirit we are going to spend as long as it takes to get everyone to FINALLY agree on the term zombie and its definition. For those of you that don't agree with my opinion on this subject (I think I heard you guys referred to as purists at one point.) you should know that I am not here to shut you up. I would never expect someone to give so much with out getting a little in return. I merely am offering this page as a forum for the discussion so that everyone can make there points, be heard and have respect shown towards them at the same time. I am a pretty laid back JINKIES kinda girl so as long as you are cool with me then I am cool with you! :) If we close our eyes real tight and cross our fingers and our toes we might just be lucky enough to come to a consensus at the end of this journey.
OH... and I will be responding in word and video form so everyone is welcome to do the same. I will try and give the best definition as possible to describe either side. If you feel I have missed something or something needs to be made clearer or anything like that then just write in to the comment box below and I will see what I can do. Also if you see anything that is not on the discussion platform or would like to suggest a side subject related to the discussion itself then feel free to send that in as well and we will put it up on the board. There is a forum on the page itself for the debate that you can post in but you can also feel free to submit all your comments to the comment box and they will be placed on the actual page itself so that your voice reaches a wider range of people who might not go into the forum itself. the original ZOMBIE was made by Haitian Voodoo Priests by a type of powder they made that simulated death. you knew what happened to you. even felt it. but was powerless to stop it till the effects of the powder wore off. things didnt get redefined on the definitions of a zombie until George A. Romero wrote, directed, and produced his first film Night of the Living Dead. that launched the cannibalistic walking corps we know so well today. so i guess what i am asking is this. Do you want to know which "zombie" we believe in most? am i right? reason i ask is i dont really understand what you are looking for here.

Okay this is about common to a consensus on the definition of the word... most peoples common definition id the reanimated after death kind... its about changing minds... to do that we have to get the word out... have the discussion and figure out what needs to be done from there.
this will serve many purposes...
one being I know a lot of you guys dont care how it works as long as you can still shoot something but figuring out the technical of it is important... also pretty hard...
it will in turn help us to fight and get rid of them but if we cant even agree on what exactly we are fighting then how are we to defeat it...

To me the word zombie means someone who has no control of their actions like a mindless slave. My opinion is based off of the old world usage and the fact that there are certain medications that have that effect on people (for me its Xanax if I take it I pretty much have a weak will and can be talked into things). But as for the "monster" form I tend to use the terms flesh eating zombie or living dead depending on which circle of friends I'm talking to.

You think it would be easy to define it but!!!
I have had this argument with so many people and a shocking ammount of them are die hardz about the subject... then think if they didn't die and then come back to life then they are not zombies...
Plus a lot of the on line dictionaries such as Wikiphidia have it down as undead or died and reanimated as well... with no mention of anything else... We need to change this... not take away from it but add to it.
